Make an interactive map without code

An interactive map is one visitors can click, filter and search - a very different thing from a static image. With localthings you build one yourself, without code, in your own branding.

Short answer
  • An interactive map is clickable: visitors open locations, filter by category and search within it. A static map image cannot do that.
  • You need no code for it. Type locations in, paste rows from Excel or Google Sheets, or import a CSV file.
  • Categories with their own colours and icons decide how visitors filter the map.
  • On Free you publish through a permanent shareable link; embedding on your own website starts on Basic.
  • A downloadable QR code starts on Basic; a custom domain is in Premium and white-label is Custom.

How it works

  1. 1

    Add your locations

Paste a website, a list or a CSV file, or let the assistant scan a site for you. Every location becomes a pin on the map.

  2. 2

    Set up the map

Decide what each location card shows: photo, description, opening hours and your own fields. Then pick categories with their own colour and icon, a map style and areas if you need them.
